A sea facing bar, with a perfect cocktail in an ideal way to unwind in Mumbai. Adding to a never ending list of Bandra Bars, there’s a new gem in the city called the Masala Bar.
The new plush bar is an offering from Zorawar Kalra, the man behind Masala Library and Punjab Grill. Known for his molecular gastronomy excellence, Zorawar is bringing his creative blend to cocktails with Masala Bar. Taking Molecular mixology to the next level, the Bar flaunts a cocktail lab, which promises drinks with separate levels, for a never before experience. The signature cocktails are named after Mumbai landmarks and Kalra recommends a few must haves — including Bollywood Bhang (a vodka-based cocktail infused with basil dragon smoke and served in a skull-shaped mug), An Evening at Chowpati (another vodka-based drink served with coconut fizz, which Kalra promises will give you “a whiff of Chowpati”) and of course, a drink named after the road where the bar is located – Sunset @ Carter (a whisky-based cocktail “the colour of sunset”, infused with rosemary, orange fumes).
The bar has the best sunset view in the city with windowpanes that have swatches of magnifying glasses thanks to Team Busride that strikes again with their stunning design work. In sharp contrast, progressive trance and electronic music add a mysterious element to the décor.
Located at Carter Road, Masala Bar will be one of the finest bars in Mumbai, with elite presence and interesting drinks.
