Mumbai’s favorite shopping destinations Palladium, High Street Phoenix and Phoenix Marketcity are re-opening on 5th August

While there is no denying that online shopping is great, personally, I hold the opinion that there is no better shopping experience than walking into a mall, strolling across the fashion-filled windows. The air-conditioned whiff of high-end perfumes welcomes you when you step foot inside the foyer, the running of fingers through flimsy outfits arranged in a color-coded way for your perusal and admiration. If you love to romance fashion at a shopping mall then you will share our euphoria when we tell you this love affair with shopping is re-entering our lives as The Phoenix Mills Limited is reopening its retail malls in Maharashtra. The doors of Palladium & High Street Phoenix in Lower Parel, Mumbai, Phoenix Marketcity in Mumbai, and Phoenix Marketcity in Pune, will open wide, beginning August 5th, 2020. The state has been deprived of retail therapy for over 5 months now which has not only kept the consumer for indulging in an enjoyable shopping-eating-repeating ritual but has deeply affected the economics in India’s consumption story.  It goes without saying that guests can shop worry-free in the new safe shopping experience but the emphasis on safety is paramount which is why the mall is clarifying they are ensuring a ‘Safe Shopping’ experience for their patrons by implementing strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to prevent the virus’s spread. As part of these measures number of customers will be controlled via stringent protocols not only at retail stores, but also in restrooms, and elevators. Practical and globally accepted systems such as crowd density control system at mall entry, UV Scanning Systems at mall entry points for handbags, UV Boxes for sanitizing shopping bags, sanitization mats at mall entry points for sanitizing footwear are all in place. The wearing of masks is mandatory along with temperature checks at the mall entrances. All touchpoints such as stores, parking, F&B stores, and food courts are opting for contactless digital payment methods.

Phoenix Mills has adopted several measures that will make their customers feel safe and bring back the joy of shopping or simply spending a day at the mall. Looking at the aforementioned preparations they are clearly holding our safety in great importance which is what truly makes it Mumbai’s favorite shopping destination. Shopaholic or not, this news will elate anyone who has been waiting for a silver lining these past few months. We get a safe silver cloud with the Phoenix Mills and can’t wait to go back!
