India’s first Raffles hotel is all set to open in Udaipur. An architectural marvel standing on a 21-acre private island it will have a world-class spa, 1000 book library, and astounding rooms.

Lovers of history, culture, and architecture can never get enough of the beautiful capital of Mewar. Come August, the maiden outpost of the iconic brand Raffles will open its doors in India, adding to the list of reasons that make Udaipur spectacular. India’s first Raffles hotel stands on a 21-acre private island in the middle of the serene Udai Sagar lake, creating a retreat for peace and rejuvenation. The expansive property is reminiscent of a magnificent country estate, away from the bustle of the city encompassed with hills, a tranquil lake, and a 400-year-old temple. Udaipur, India’s first Raffles hotel, which took almost ten years to make, is nothing less than an architectural marvel that seamlessly amalgamates Rajasthan’s royal heritage and elements of Mughal architecture. Before you can plan a visit to one of India’s newest Raffles Udaipur, which opens on 2nd August 2021, here is a sneak peek of what grandeur lies beneath:

The magnificent lobby welcomes you into a world of splendor that perfectly represents the east-meets-west aesthetic. The entrance casts a great first impression from a grand double staircase, massive artworks, and luxurious seating areas.

This 21-acre private island offers 180-degree views of rolling hills, manicured gardens, and a 400-year-old temple.

The presidential suite, as the name suggests, offers larger-than-life interiors. Intricately painted walls ooze a regality while palatial interiors give you the vibe of residing in an actual palace, albeit with modern amenities.

The Presidential Suite living area is a sprawling space that accommodates a lounging area flanked with plush carpets, sweeping views of the Udai Sagar lake, a dining area, and extravagant chandeliers.

Raffles fans will know its famous Writers Bar which recreates the magic in Udaipur with literary sensations like Rudyard Kipling, Ernest Hemingway, and Somerset Maugham.

The Writers Bar boasts floor-to-ceiling glass windows, a library of more than five thousand books, creative cocktails, and a Champagne-caviar menu.
