When it comes to beauty, I don’t settle for routine maintenance. Rather than indulging in a simple facial, for instance, I love coating my skin in layers of 24-karat gold or going the extravagant beauty route. Even a regular manicure becomes a miniature work of art. Being the beauty junkie that I’m, I keep experimenting and recently tried The White Door which is a new entrant in the city’s beauty scene.
I found the space to be done in swish white tones and kept minimalistic but classy. My treatment for the day was the Classic Manicure, Tame The Tan pedicure coupled with in-chair head massage. The Classic Manicure started with a warm hand soak, followed by clipping and shaping, cuticle treatment, moisturizing, a quick finger and arm massage. Throughout the process, the staff was efficient, mindful about the hygiene aspect and extremely intuitive.
Since I had spent too much time in the sun, I opted for the Tame The Tan pedicure which leveraged the goodness of calamine clay, lemon peel powder, grapefruit peel powder, apple flower powder and red sandalwood powder. Formulated with time-tested ingredients, it definitely lightened up my skin. During my pedicure, I relished the In-Chair head massage which was invigorating and melted away the stresses.
The White Door also offers an exclusive nail polish rental service. By the end of my experience here, I was gifted with a home-care kit to keep up with the TLC of my talons. I found it to be a thoughtful touch here. I believe that the hygiene adherence by the team sets them apart. Also what caught my attention were the multiple-touch-points the space caters to. You can watch Netflix on their tab, get headphones to groove to your playlist while getting pampered, ask for warm blankets or neck pillows to keep your head well-rested during the treatment.
Here, the team has curated a few luxurious extras. To treat yourself, you can opt for cupcakes, cookies or marshmallows with your beverage from their menu. Throughout my experience here, I was enveloped in luxury and loved the attention to every single detail.
