Review: A journey of spices with Spice Traders and W Goa at By The Mekong, The St. Regis Mumbai

The St. Regis Mumbai has recently partnered with Spice Traders and W Goa in an attempt to showcase the combined culinary expertise from a journey laced with true taste.. Savouring the spice of Goa at By The Mekong, St. Regis (Mumbai) from the 25th of July 2019 to the 3rd of August 2019. We recently put it to test.

Among the cold appetizers, the truffle tuna pizza is a masterpiece with its subtle yet standout flavours. As for starters, the black and white prawns, baked Singapore chilli crab, goat cheese wontons and asparagus in miso butter are nuanced enough to tantalizingly tease your taste-buds.

Dim-sum lovers will be smitten by the flavours of the mushroom dim sum with truffle oil and chicken and water chestnut dumplings that promise to leave you wanting for more. For mains, the Chahan fried rice with spinach packs in the right amount of crunch and is a cracker of a dish. The Hunan chilli, broccoli and snow peas in a chilli basil sauce, ginger chicken and even a soy glaze steamed sea bass is worth every bite. For desserts, the halo halo-diced water chestnut with coconut milk and juicy mangoes is the real deal, sure to elevate you to dessert nirvana.
