Bvlgari launched its first feminine fragrance under the famous and enticing Bvlgari Aqva collection, and we take a sweet whiff. The all new Bvlgari Aqua Divina is a great addition to the masculine Aqua line, inspired by Botticelli’s painting ‘The Birth of Venus’ and is composed by the perfumer Alberto Morillas of Firmenich.
The bright and sensual Aqua Divina is described by Bvlgari as a “new jewel born from the wonders of the Mediterranean sea”, and that seems fitting to me. With top notes of Salty Bergamot and Pink Ginger, this fragrance is definitely for the women, who believe in musk. Salty and clean, this fragrance comes with a hint of citrus and somehow quite woody,it has the depth of amber and the freshness of the ocean. Well, if you close your eyes, it will take you to a beach, during a warm summer day. It’s fresh and slightly floral, with oceanic notes, and exotic in a subversive way. With a divine marine fragrance, the perfume dries down to a much deeper honeyed character, leaving you in a woody tone. The jewel-bottle of Aqva Divina has a sensual shape which draws inspiration from the curves and delicate nuances of the seashell, complementing the other pebble shaped bottles of the Aqua Line. The bottle bears a close resemblance to a sea mussel with a nacreous color palette.
