Review: Putting to test the sinfully pure treats crafted to perfection by Dalisay

I’m all for desserts pulling off the health halo while looking decadent. So trying duo Sangeeta Shah and Karishma Jasra’s brand Dalisay was all about experiencing sinfully pure treats, ones that served me (guilt-free) dessert coma. Their menu ranges from indulgent to healthy yummy items and comprises of delish dips, crackers, granolas, to teacakes, Cheesecakes, Gluten-free cakes, Gluten-Free Breads, Cookies, Brownies, Boursin Cheese, Pancake mixes, protein Laddoos and lots more. We speak to the duo behind the brand and try their offerings:

The inception of Dalisay :
The duo tells me that Dalisay which means ‘PURE’ was born from not only their passion for baking but it was also the need for the hour of feeding their kids healthy yet yummy treats and basically making junk food healthy without making them crave for all the yummy looking unhealthy food.

Their ride had a few hiccups initially trying how to make all the unhealthy food more fun and nutritious and eventually they came up with a good range of products that are not only relished by kids but all adults as well. “With health being the top priority, we only use the best ingredients like whole grains, dry fruits, and natural sweeteners free from preservatives. All our products are made only to order and can be customized for Gluten-free, Vegan or any dietary concern. We keep experimenting and are always introducing new items to the menu. Our Protein laddoos with the goodness of nuts and lentils is recommended by Celebrity Nutrition Consultant Neha Sahay and our wholesome pancake mix to is her daughter’s favourite.

The Almond Honey Cake :
For the health-conscious bingers, the Almond Honey Cake exudes lip-smacking freshness and is sure to tease your tastebuds. It is gluten-free and is light but wholesome. A healthy indulgence, this one for sure teased my taste buds.

Toffee cheesecake with Salted Caramel Popcorn :
Definitely on our list of best ch(eat) day cheesecakes. Being a flavour that even the most seasoned pastry chefs can easily mess up with, Dalisay gets it just right: this one is the pillowy, not-too-sweet kinda cheesecake that makes the cut, for sure.

Pancake mix :
I love this easy to make, healthy pancake mix that gets you fluffy, healthy pancakes of oats and buckwheat. One of the best that I’ve tried in recent times, smooth and easy to whip up.

Red velvet cookies :
Loved these dreamy cookies that were soft, chewy, filled with classic red velvet flavour with cream cheesecake filling. This one is the stuff of cookie heaven.
