Salt is a Mumbai based home kitchen delivering made to order delicious gourmet meals using fresh ingredients while taking all safety precautions during procurement and cooking to ensure complete safety and sanitation of the highest standards.

Alka and Saakshi Lath, the women behind Salt. launched Salt on June 7, 2020 in the midst of the lockdown. Pre-Covid Alka used to host regular dinners at her home for friends and family as they love her cooking. During lockdown, as these dinners were not possible, she started sending meals to friends and family to satisfy their cravings. Encouraged by the positive response and egged on by family the mother-daughter duo decided to start a home kitchen. They draw inspiration from their travels around the world for their menu, which changes weekly and includes a variety of culinary delights from 2-3 different cuisines a week like Thai, Lebanese, Japanese, Mexican, Sichuan, Italian, Greek, Indian, etc.

Using imported and high-quality ingredients to ensure authenticity in flavour, some of Salt’s best sellers are the Warm Burrata Salad, DanDan Noodles, the Mezze Platter, Chimichangas as well as their signature desserts such as the Salt Tiramisu Avalanche-(take  it from us that it’s the best tiramisu in the city)  and the Biscoff Cheesecake. Some of the meals are unique reinventions of classics made by fusing together unexpected cuisines, such as the Baklava Tiramisu, Thai Tacos, etc. Delivering all over Mumbai with double packaging to ensure safety, Salt is gaining popularity with regular and new patrons organically.
