The excitement – and accompanying stress – that comes with wedding planning can really affect a bride’s mental and physical state. Brides must take time out for themselves, get pampered and prepped to perfection for the big day. I tried a luxury bridal package at the gorgeous Fleur De Lis Salon and Spa in the city which is perfect to rejuvenate, calm and refresh brides-to-be so they radiate an ethereal glow and feel like a million bucks on the most unforgettable day of their lives.
Greeted by marble floors and gold-mirror frames, I settled in and was welcomed by the attentive staff. The bespoke Luxury Bridal Package I tried includes a Vitamin-E Moisturizing Facial, full-body sugar scrub, cotton extract wrap, spa manicure with gel polish, spa pedicure, full body massage, full body waxing, threading, eyebrow, haircut and hair spa.
I started off with the Vitamin-E Moisturizing Facial which leveraged the goodness of effective masks and scrubs that helped me get my glow on. To top it off, the facial massage has to be one of the best I’ve had. The Exel range of products was used for the luxurious ritual. This was followed by a cotton extract wrap wherein the cooling mask was applied to my body followed by a relaxing massage.
During the course of the massage, my therapist tackled my stony heels and aching back with seamlessly firm but relaxing strokes. After the series of blissful wraps and massages, I was carried to a graceful dimension. This was followed by a Moroccan Oil Hair Spa (hair wash, mask, massage, steam-everything top-notch) that helped me bid adieu to my frizzy tresses for smoother and silkier hair texture.
Next up was hair-cut time. December is the season of weddings, I had to attend reams of wedding functions and had to request my stylist to avoid trimming too much of the length. To my delight, my stylist did exactly that. Without going short on the length, he ensured that the styling is spot-on and the cut is sassy and suits me!
The final touch was the spa manicure and pedicure. And let me put things into perspective, this is not your average mani-pedi. It uses a spate of exotic masks and scrubs that is fitting for the tan-removal we need. I loved the end-result- a lightened complexion, increased softness and smoothness.
A dope blow-dry ensured that I have my red-carpet moment. Brownie points to the fact that the unisex salon is pooch-friendly!
