Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai collaborates with ace divers ‘Sea Hawks’ to pay tribute to victims of 26/11 attacks


The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai is partnering with The Sea Hawks led by Wing Commander Paramvir Singh as they pay a tribute to the victims of the 26/11 terror attacks. Paramvir Singh will lead an expedition driven by open water swimmers on 26th November 2016.

The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai is honoured to lend its support to a cause that is close to the Group’s heart. Wing Commander Paramvir Singh with his troop of open water swimmers will commence the swim in the Arabian Sea from the Gateway of India, Mumbai, ending at Mangalore on 10th December 2016. With no break to the journey spanning over 14 days and nights, Paramvir Singh and his team aim to cover a distance of 1000 kilometres also hoping to break the current World Record for the longest open water swim held by The Sea Hawks.

The 26/11 attacks will be something that the Taj will never forget. The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Mumbai, was in the heart of all the turmoil and the terror. Hundreds of innocent people lost their lives and their loved ones in a senseless act of terrorism.

In remembrance, The Taj Group is humbled to be associated with The Sea Hawk and Wing Commander Paramvir Singh’s endevour to pay tribute to the acts of selflessness and bravery shown by those subject to the attacks.

No act or tribute can fill the void left in the lives of the loved ones left behind, but this is just a small gesture and gratitude to the families who put on a brave face despite the loss and to the unsung heroes who perished in the attacks.
