The skies in Agra break into colour with the Taj Balloon Festival


The Taj Balloon Festival is back again for the second year after a resounding success last year. The city of Agra is all ready to welcome the festival this year between the 25th to 30th November. The sight of the colourful hot air balloons all across the sky against the backdrop of the iconic Taj Mahal is breathtaking.

The line up comprises of 15 balloons from different countries including India, USA, UK, Canada, Spain, UAE, Netherland, Turkey, Switzerland, Belgium, Poland and Malaysia. These include three ‘special shape’ balloons featuring iconic characters Happy Egg, Bob the Lobster & Smurf, an exciting new addition to last year’s festival. The highlights of the festival include night glows & tethered flights at the PAC parade grounds. Night glows are a visual delight wherein the massive balloons stacked up close to each other procide a colourful symphony of sound and light in sync with the accompanying music. The stunning Night Glow is open to the public and will be held every evening from 6.30 pm onwards. The balloon flights will happen every morning at Sunrise and the evening nightglows after sunset.

The Uttar Pradesh Government is conducting this festival in collaboration with E- Factor Adventure Tourism Pvt Ltd, an Indian company that operates commercial hot air ballooning in the name of SkyWaltz.
