Sofitel Mumbai BKC fulfills cancer patient’s chef-for-the-day wish

Do-gooder’s can be found in handfuls these days. How often do you hear of a 5-star hospitality brand catering to a cancer patient. Only recently, French luxury hotel Sofitel Mumbai BKC in collaboration with Make-A-Wish India Foundation fulfilled the wish of 14 year old Kulbhushan Parkar. The teenager who suffers from Thalassemia Major, has been yearning for a career in the hospitality industry and always dreamt of meeting a Chef from a 5-star hotel and learning one dish. His wish was granted when a session was organized with Executive Chef, Neeraj Rawoot to cook up Spanish Flautas (Spanish spring rolls served with Avocado mole and sour cream).

Being an inquisitive boy, Kulbhushan has always wished to experiment with diverse cuisines and discovered his interests while preparing new dishes with his mother.

A renowned non-profit foundation, Make-A-Wish India has been known to curate experiences described as “wishes” to children aged 3 to 17, with life-threatening medical conditions. Over the years, the generous initiative has implemented life-changing wishes for over 185 children with the support of Jewellers for Children (JFC).
