Hola amigos! The JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar’s all-day cafe – the JW Cafe – is playing host to a Spanish food festival with Chef Miguel Banco. Chef Blanco is being flown in from Hotel Arts Barcelona to please our city’s food connoisseurs with an elaborate menu of Spanish delicacies.
If you are a patron of the Spanish cuisine, visit the swanky suburban hotel from 13th-23rd March, to soak your taste buds in some authentic Catalonian dishes.
A native of Santiago de Compostela in north-western Spain, Chef Blanco has taken inspiration from the beautiful region of Catalonia and plans to take his guests through a culinary journey of Spain. From scrumptious seafood delights to customary Spanish desserts, Chef Blanco’s menu is certainly a culinary experience we are looking forward to.
Miguel has come armed with authentic condiments and spices, like “Choricero” and red pepper pulp from Barcelona; his vision is clear – a truly authentic Spanish culinary experience for us to devour. The blissful technique of blending fresh produce and modern cooking skills is an art, and we hear Chef Blanco has orchestrated a menu fulfilling our desires.
We have unraveled the menu to give you a quick glimpse. For appetizers, expect hot Spanish tapas like Spanish omelette with “pa amb tomàquet” and salads including “salmorejo” with boiled eggs and ham. As part of your entree, experiment with traditional Spanish paellas in vegetarian and chicken paella, Pollo en “pepitoria”, Chicken “chilindrón”, Seafood “fideua”, Xamfaina. To appeal to your sweet tooth, try the traditional crema catalana, Santiago almond tart, and leche frita.
Of course, a Spanish meal is incomplete without the classic sangria. Relish a glass of your most preferred Spanish cocktail, local wine or the evergreen sangria to perfectly complement your meal.
