We visit 145 The Mills: the grown-up gastronomic stunner

Lights. Music. Food. Action. 145’s noon to moon café and bar experience has had an energy that’s the infectious and culinary play that’s magnetic. Carrying ahead the legacy is the all-new 145 The Mill at Kamala Mills. One look at it and we observe a grown-up vibe slightly different from its other locations, embracing the working crowd around the area.

Interior inspo
The space designed by Sumessh Menon is around 4,500 sq ft space and creates a high-energy space with stylish yet casual interiors. It introduces stylish furniture and design elements mixed with interesting play of vibrant artwork. The ceiling is treated for acoustic as well as aesthetic function such that it looks less busy. The 70 feet long and 7 feet tall façade with an abstract map design is definitely one of the highlights of the design along with the 60 feet long abstract collage art mural indoors. 145 has carried its legacy forward creating a distinct space for a pool table and their classic reruns of Tom and Jerry played on a large screen. A variety of seating styles are mixed in this space to lend a trendy yet functional touch.

The food factor
Apart from the 145 classics, 145 The Mill creates magic with its Kebabs & Rolls and Wood-fired Pizzas. All top-notch! Noshing on the impeccably whipped-up Butter Garlic Prawns and a delectable Avocado Toast, we were in for a treat. Among other dishes, you just cannot go wrong with the Butter Chicken Baos and the beautifully-textured and perfectly-flavoured Thai Green Curry. The best from the night was The Mushroom Bunny chow. The goodness of mushrooms and cheese was melt-in-the-mouth and swoon-worthy. For dessert, our pick has to be the Four-layered Chocolate Bomb with layers of white chocolate, red velvet, dark chocolate and brownies topped up with a hot chocolate sauce- a dessert lover’s dream brought to life. Finishing off with a great Paan Kulfi, we were left with the dreamiest of food comas.
