The Banarasi-sari exhibit will invoke a deep sense of nostalgia while the Italian Wine Flight at the Four Seasons will leave you feeling dreamy, lightheaded and oh so romantic. And to satisfy your comfort food craving after all this emoting, head on over to Salt Water Cafe to do exactly that. Being screened at the NCPA this Wednesday is Fandry – a deeply moving and very real story about two teenagers trapped in the unfortunate cast system that still prevails in the interiors of our country. Set in the tiny little village of Akolner, the story revolves around a Dalit boy who falls in love with an upper caste girl. The heartening film apart from garnering much critical acclaim also won the Grand Jury Prize at the Mumbai International Film Festival and the Indira Gandhi Award for Best First Film of a Director at the 61st National Film Awards. A must watch for everyone, we say!

It goes without saying that the tipple is best paired with hearty, wholesome fare – on the menu will be Meat Loaf with Warm Bread and Pickled Vegetables, Roast Ox Tongue Toasties with Emmenthal, Chicken Braised in Beer with a Mustard and Tarragon Veloute and Grilled Lamb Leg with Mushy Peas. Cartel’s ‘It’s not Waht you Tihnk!’ will have you rolling in your seat. The whacky plot comprising of 8 short plays put together revolves around a sassy servant, an incompetent dentist, a botched up robbery and a singing performance gone horribly wrong! Expertly performed by a limited cast of three, the play will leave your ribs sore. Don’t forget to check out for the groovy masks! The play, which is physical theatre at its best, will be performed in both Hindi and English.
