Brunswick Billiards to celebrate 165th anniversary by resurrecting the Exposition Novelty table

Brunswick Billiards was all set to celebrate its 165th anniversary in 2010. To commemorate this special occasion, the company has decided to resurrect its Exposition Novelty table. This classic 19th-century table, which will make its come back in honor of the anniversary celebrations, as defined by the 1878 J.M. Brunswick and Balke Co. catalog as a table manufactured for “gentlemen’s private residences” and “a marvel of artistic excellence.” This elegant table won several gold medals and was a favorite with many. According to Austin Rothbard, president of Brunswick Billiards, this table was chosen to be revived due to its exquisite heritage design. The anniversary special antique replica Exposition Novelty table will boast of magnificent craftsmanship by using shapely rails, solid white oak legs, a variety of grained veneers, and solid brass rosettes, and rail sights made of Asian Water Buffalo bone. Only 25 such tables will be produced, and each table will feature a brass Brunswick emblem and will be offered with a matching cue rack and distinct Brunswick Exposition Novelty cue.
