Former manager and artistic director of the Hermes luxury group died at 72

The news that Hermes was ranked number two on the Millward Brown Optimor’s 2010 BrandZ ranking brought some much needed cheer to the French luxury brand. The group’s chairman Jean-Louis Dumas who held office for almost three decades till 2006 dies in Paris at the age of 72. Dumas stated as head of the luxury fashion house, founded by his family five generations earlier. Owing to his falling health, he stepped down as Hermes manager and artistic director in January 2006.
