Get the Marriott Hotel Lobby experience right at the Airport

Marriot Hotel knows how to blend into the elite group and how to greet their guests with better facilities than its competitors. After the preferential free Internet access to its gold and platinum class members, the hotel chain is trying to expand business by a unique marketing tactic. They converted New York Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt Hall to resemble their hotel lobby and got musician John Legend for an exclusive performance. In its conceptualization phases, the company plans to re-create its hotel lobbies at major airports, including Chicago O’Hare, Hartsfield Atlanta, and Denver International. The currently functional one at the Grand Central Terminal features free WiFi access, a giant touch screen to keep a tab on the local weather, and media pod workstations apart from tables and couches for guests to relax.
