The UK is going to have one very drunk queen. While celebrations are on track to celebrate her 60 years of accession to the throne, distillers are dusting their treasure troves to unveil their unique concoctions. Bottlers Master of Malt has unveiled a 60-year old whiskey bottled in celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee – the Glen Grant 60 Queen Elizabeth II. It was distilled on February 2, 1952, and bottled on February 2, this year, by Scottish Bottlers Gordon and Macphail. It comes in a handmade decanter and has notes of rich malt, apple freshness, honey, cinnamon, and allspice. Priced at £8,000 ($12,600), each bottle comes with a certificate of authenticity. The decanters are individually numbered as only 85 such decanters are available worldwide.
