Japanese gold medalist rakes $5000 mobile bill while chasing Pokemon in Rio

This is hilarious! A Japanese gymnast wanted to kill some time, reaching Rip a week ago and ended up creating a phone bill of $4,954! In a week! Playing Pokemon Go! When it isn’t even available in Brazil! This kid is all brawn and no brain, seriously. Kohei Uchimura from Japan is a reigning gold medalist (four times Olympic medalist) but is now in the news for all the wrong reasons. His wireless carrier has agreed to slash the charges to a flat fee of $30 and give this star athlete a break, so he is not much in pain over the 500,000 yen. However, apparently he was really embarrassed about it, his teammate said. Well obviously! Pokemon is ruining the world. A 17-year old in the UK was attacked and killed while playing the game – racing into a home to chase Pokemon character. A guy was chasing Pokemon while his wife was in labour. Armed robbers in Missouri used the app to target victims using this game. The incidents continue. So much for augmented reality

Hope he performs well at the games, and win a gold medal again. Else, he might just want to stay back and shack it on some beach in Rio. Or go to a country where Pokemon goes. *roll up eyes*
