S.T. Dupont is known for creating some of the most exquisite lighters that cater to the creamy layer of society. Their latest lighter is another exquisite piece that pays tribute to one of Paris’ most famous architectural landmarks. Christened the Place Vendôme limited edition Ligne 2 Prestige, this lighter is made from rose gold lighter and is embellished with 192 diamonds. The Place Vendôme lighter is modeled on the majestic Parisian square architecture of that name commissioned by King Louis XIV in the 17th century. In 1810 Napoleon enriched the square by erecting the Vendôme Column. This lighter’s roller is engraved with Napoleon’s famous quotation, “Impossible n’est pas français” (Nothing is impossible for the French). A pen matching the lighter modeled on the column and bearing the same quotation is also available. A collector’s edition piece, this lighter is priced at a whopping $47,000 and limited to just 35 pieces.
