What do you consider as the ultimate travel book, the one that provides up to date facts about places with accurate figures, or the one that tells a story that takes you back in time? One does not have to take the pains to decide between the two when a brilliant travel book published by Louis Vuitton collaborated with Editions Xavier Barral has just released. The travel book named World Tour constitutes a journey worldwide in twenty-one stopovers with 1,000 hotel labels from the collection compiled by Gaston-Louis Vuitton- grandson of Louis Vuitton. He has put together a unique collection of 3,000 hotel labels that witnessed the owners’ wonderful journeys.
The World Book contains over 1,000 labels from this wonderful collection. Francisca Matteoli, a great traveler and author, has given a detailed interpretation of each hotel label, revealing long-lost stories, memories, and the time gone by. The book inscribing 21 stop-overs will be available in September in Louis Vuitton stores. The World Book is presented in a limited edition boxed set containing a world map and a notebook with 11 self-adhesive hotel labels. It is priced at $100 and is available in English, French, and Japanese versions.
