Most expensive Poker tournament in the world announced by IPPA

Poker is definitely not my forte, but for the rest of you seasoned players here is an opportunity you definitely can’t miss. The International Poker Players Association (IPPA) has just launched a poker tournament, which is touted to be the most expensive in the world. The unusual tournament has a buy-in fixed to $250,000 and a $12 million prize pool, of which $5 million will go to the winner and $2.5 million to the second. The 4-day tournament, which started on 13 September in Cyprus, requires players to go through several qualifying rounds. The first one is the qualification in a $1,800 shootout tournament, allowing players to reach the next stage, a $12,800 re-buy tournament. A third qualification will be organized if necessary, before reaching the grand finale. This little final winner will be awarded a $250,000 ticket allowing him/her an entry for the final tournament “IPPA Championship,” where he or she will face off against 47 opponents in the invitation-only $250,000 buy-in that features H.O.R.S.E. and two rounds of No Limit hold’em.

Many famous poker names will be present at this event and are even expected to participate in the inaugural event. Renowned players like Sue, Waggoner, Zewin, Baxter, Brown, Deeb, Flack, Habib, Ho, Kim, Leonidas, Lisandro, Scotty Nguyen, and Ruffigo have already confirmed and announced their participation. We can only wait and watch to see who the winner will be.
