It is not just women who swear by stylish living. E-retail website, Mr. Porter, the male-centric version of the widely famous Net-a-Porter, has now launched a book for its male patrons, called The Manual for a Stylish Life. The 240-pages paperback has a lot to offer and features content from The Journal magazine (as seen on the site). It also boasts of expert advice on fashion, cars, interiors, design and music, including insider style tips, interviews and profiles with popular men from across the globe, a gallery of Style Icons, and a special section titled ‘The Knack (and how to get it)’ with illustrated guides on everything a man ought to know; from dancing at a party to bonding with your father-in-law. The book is edited by the website’s Editor-in-Chief Jeremy Langmead and designed by book designer David Pearson, who was previously with Penguin Books. The art director of MR PORTER is Leon St-Amour.
The book uses both matte and gloss paper plus colored and black and white images. Each copy comes with a red silk bookmark. The paperback is already available on www.mrporter.com and will hit select stores globally including Colette, J. Crew, ACNE, Saturday Surf NYC, Jean Shop, Private White V.C., Sunspel, Ami, Folk and Richard James from January 13.
