Soccer player to get a $660,000 registration plate as gift if his National team wins the World Cup

The FIFA World Cup is the biggest single-event sporting competition in the world and all 32 participating teams are put through intense pressure to perform and ultimately clinch the trophy. The team that finally wins the tournament often is showered with gifts and awards. England’s famous car designer and businessman Afzal Kahn has announced that he’ll gift the incredibly rare and expensive “No 4” car number plate to an England player, should the three lions lift the World Cup trophy in Russia. Valued at £500,000, or $660,000 in US money, Kahn will pass on the number plate to England’s number four, Eric Dier, if the team wins in the finals.

Dier refuses to be intimidated by opponents, is humble and very ambitious,” said Mr. Kahn. “Playing in a World Cup is the pinnacle for any proud English man. I would like to wish Eric, and the rest of the team the best of luck for the tournament, and hope my gesture possibly motivates him that little bit extra to bring the world cup home.” Eric Dier’s fellow England players also have an opportunity to bag gifts, should they help England to their first World Cup victory since 1966. Afzal Kahn is also prepared to part with his 1966 DB, S50 CER and F00 71E registration plates. The “No 4” plate is currently fixed to a special World Cup Edition Land Rover Defender built by Kahn’s Chelsea Truck Company. The World Cup edition – a Honey Mustard Defender 2.2 TDCI XS 90 – is available to purchase for £69,995 (roughly $92,500 USD).
