Robots are not always utility oriented. They are not always fun and games either! Or at least that’s what the Japanese want to put forth. If you are filthy rich but timid and need some silent company, why not get yourself a life-sized, animatronic female robot? They don’t walk but sit and smile politely; where are you going to arrange for a lady who listens as you speak? From January 2010, the Japanese department store Sogo & Seibu will start booking pre-orders for this pretty lady. There are only two pieces up for grabs, with each priced at $225,000. What’s more, the pretty lady will be crafted to resemble her proud owner!
