Starbucks Taiwan partners with French designer for quirky range of mugs

French fashion brand Paul & Joe is turning 20 years old and its designer and founder Sophie Méchaly is celebrating this landmark with skill and thrill. After dressing up the Duchess of Cambridge in a stunning cape on her trip to Bhutan recently, here is something that is off the conventional mark, and adventurous. Starbucks struck a deal with her to come up with a fresh and fun range of products for this summer. What resulted is a limited edition series of printed tumblers. This exclusivity is only for Taiwan, though, perhaps in line with the Paul & Joe’s popularity in that region. The products will feature the prints of a Chinchilla Persian cat (inspired by the designer’s own pet) that is a constant in the brand’s lipstick and packaging.

The crabs on the prints, as well as the fun summery colours, are inspired by the beaches of South France, where Méchaly spent her childhood. The range is now available at all Starbucks branches in Taiwan. If you are a coffee and cat addict, then a trip to Taiwan wouldn’t hurt perhaps.
