While the precious art community is a small one, both through artists and patrons, it is a rather influential one. For private art collectors, storing these valuable pieces of art can pose a hindrance. While a large part of this community uses the world’s largest fine art vault in Geneva, a new option may have opened up for them. The Swiss defense ministry’s real estate management office has put a 57-year-old military bunker on the market. The bunker located near the center of Swiss town Alpnach, near Lake Lucerne, is being marketed as a site to store valuables and rival the one existing in Geneva. The site is estimated to go for $417,000 and hopes to attract wealthy buyers from all over the world.
