The others who also allow you to put your name on your favourite bags are Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Burberry. They personalize bags, accessories, coats, scarves, fragrance bottles and many other products. Seeing your name or initials on a bag or any accessory gives a different high to the owner.
The New Roche Bobois Store in Delhi
After Mumbai and Bengaluru, French furniture brand Roche Bobois is opening its first store in Delhi today. “The capital is not a new market for them since they have been handling orders from clients who are based in the city. The reason to venture into Delhi is that it is a very brand conscious market where people strive for cutting edge design and the latest trends. They also hope to penetrate the market in north India, into cities like Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Indore and more.
The new 8000 sq ft Roche Bobois store, situated at the Gallery at MG on Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road, is like taking a virtual trip to Paris. It exudes the same modern French aesthetics seen across the brand’s 250 stores worldwide.
Besides the brand’s autumn-winter 2016 collection from the Les Contemporains range, the Delhi store will also feature bestsellers like the Blogger sofa, the Astrolab, Urban, and Bijou tables, and the Kasuka, Lady B, and Bergamote chairs.
The brand also plans to launch the new Maison Christian Lacroix collection exclusively in Delhi. Apart from this, the brand also plans to reinvent the iconic Mah Jong sofa in collaboration with Indian designers.
The best Japanese Whiskies
Whiskies from Japan have been popular for a while now. However, they really drew attention after the Yamazaki Sherry Cask was awarded the World Whisky of the Year title by Jim Murray last year.
Everyone talks about the popular labels from the country, but Mars Komagatake Maltage 10 YO is preffered as it has more complexity compared to the other ones. Mars Komagatake Maltage, Nikka Taketsuru 17YO, Nikka From The Barrel, and White Oak Akashi are other favourites.
These spirits are equally appreciated in varied styles, for instance, the single malt whisky is popular but the grain, blended and peats are all loved across the globe. Japanese whiskies are soft and mellow to taste, but they can also be robust and intense on the palate. This covers a spectrum of flavours compared to the Scottish ones that have a classic taste. They are the most balanced spirits across the globe, which means that they don’t develop erratic flavours in the long run, making for a good collector’s item and they can be paired with food just like wine. “Japanese whiskies are married with natural elements such as the seasons, weather, and natural terrain, bringing the most exclusive flavours to them.
Sketchy ideas – from the drawing board to the ramp
