It’s raining food here just as we close for the week. If you are planning an elaborate meal with fine dining and a bit of charity too, then head over to the Vietnamese cafe Tiato at Santa Monica. They are all set to put up a special soup under the hammer. Called as AnQi Phở, it is said to be made with “A5 Wagyu beef, white alba truffles, a foie gras broth, hand-raised bean sprouts, and “noodles” from rare blue lobster meat.” Bids start at $5,000 for a bowl. The proceeds from the sale would go to the Children’s Hospitals of Los Angeles and Orange County and a part going to the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. But if you can’t make it to the auction, the soup will be added to the Taito’s menu thereafter.
