This $1.3 million gold toilet is studded with 40,815 diamonds and could set a really bizarre Guinness record

Extravagant toilets have become quite the norm. However, taking the trend to a whole new level is this plush golden toilet that comes with over 40,815 diamonds encrusted on its rim! Yes, that’s right! The golden throne of sorts was recently displayed at the Shanghai trade fair last week and is expected to cost around $1.3 million.

The exclusive john is produced by Coronet, one of Aaron Shum Jewelry’s brands. Thanks to its glittering specifications, the pot is also gunning for the Guinness World Record for most diamonds in a toilet seat and is expected to win the title with quite an aplomb. However, the toilet isn’t up for sale and is instead considered as a better fit for a diamond art museum where ‘more people can enjoy it’.

This isn’t the first time that news of a golden toilet has come up in the market. Earlier this year, a solid gold toilet named “America” was stolen from the Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Winston Churchill. Similarly, back in the year 2001, a Hong Kong businessman had reportedly spent millions on a washroom that had a golden toilet befitted inside it. If qualified for the Guinness Book of Record, Coronet’s golden toilet will be the 10th Guinness record for the jeweler who also holds titles for most diamonds set in a watch and most diamonds set in a handbag.
