Visa unveils the world’s first jewel-encrusted solid gold card

Visa redefines the meaning of bling with its new solid gold, jewel encrusted Infinite companion card. Visa has partnered with Kazakhstan’s Sberbank to create this unique card. The card will only be available to Sberbank’s top 100 most valued customers, and functions as a companion to the standard Visa Infinite card issued by the bank. Holders of this opulent card will not only have a status symbol tucked in their wallet, but also an on- demand personal manager, medical and information services, purchase protection for stolen goods and a comprehensive premium health and travel insurance. This lavish card is made of solid gold, with a brushed finish, embellished with beautiful mother of pearl and 26 diamonds, totaling 0.17 carats.

James Lim, Head of Consumer Products, Visa Asia Pacific, Central Europe, Middle East and Africa, describes the card perfectly when he says “Visa Infinite cards are not just any card – they deliver service and privileges not available to other card types and are a reflection of the cardholders’ status.” Currently the card is only available to Sberbank customers in Kazakhstan but is expected to be available in more markets across the Asia Pacific, Central Europe, Middle East and Africa region over the next few years.
This status symbol also allows Visa premium access privileges, including teeing off at some of the worlds top golf courses, luxury vacation getaways, round the clock personal concierge services and fast – track immigration across more than 280 airports worldwide.
