It’s a fact that most “moms” go to any lengths to get that bright smile over their children’s faces. And true, they should, but only when it’s for the right reasons. Here, wealthy Manhattan moms have gone the sour way, figuring out appalling ways to cut long lines at Disney World! No, they haven’t jumped lines or tricked people into letting them move ahead but have instead resorted to hiring handicapped tour guides to accompany them to Disney so that they can hurriedly proceed to a special entrance that gives them access to all special amenities reserved for the disabled.
The fraud was a discovery by social anthropologist Dr. Wednesday Martin, who came upon it while researching her upcoming book, Primates of Park Avenue. Covering up for the act, one mother was reported as saying, “My daughter waited one minute to get on ‘It’s a Small World’ — the other kids had to wait two and a half hours! You can’t go to Disney without a tour concierge. This is how the 1% does Disney.”
Dejected and disappointed with such behavior, a spokesperson from Disney also commented saying: “It is unacceptable to abuse accommodations that were designed for guests with disabilities; we are thoroughly reviewing the situation and will take appropriate steps to deter this type of activity.”
No offense, but of late, we’d also come across rich Russians resort to such contemptible ways. Only in their case it was dodging traffic with private deluxe ambulance-taxis.
