The most expensive pet wedding estimated at $250,000 holds a Guinness World Record

Even the most pampered pooch will get a complex of her life when she hears of this! Baby Hope, a tiny Coton de Tulear, indulged in a $250,000 doggy wedding yesterday, and it has made it to the Guinness Book of World Records for being the most expensive animal nuptials ever! The owner, Wendy Diamond, who is also the organizer, TV personality, and animal rights activist, agrees that the event is ridiculous. Still, the pacifying factor is that it’s all going to charity. The doggy wedding at Jumeirah Essex House was a high-society fundraiser for the Humane Society.

Miss Diamond spent about $6,000 on Baby’s Hope’s wedding dress, $5,000 on sushi and $15,000 on a seven-piece orchestra. Also Floralia Decorators draped the Essex House’s Grand Salon in almost $30,000 worth of fuschia orchids. About 250 guests attended with 50 pups in tow, many decked in canine couture from designer Anthony Rufio.
