Homes and mansions across the world are being sold for unbelievable sums of money every other day. Joining the list of homes fetching sums way above their estimated value is this penthouse in Singapore. The rare penthouse maisonette in Singapore’s Bishan Street 24, has fetched $900,000 ($170,000 above its valuation), making it the most expensive HDB flat ever to be sold in Singapore. The owner of the 1860 sq. ft. house had purchased the flat 10 years ago for $750,000. The valuation flat situated on the 24th storey with a roof terrace was around $730,000 but its owner put it for sale for an asking price of $900,000! The new owners of the house are an Indian Singaporean couple, according to a report in Lianhe Wanbao.
With the growing real estate prices, I won’t be surprised if Singapore makes it into the list of world’s most expensive cities.
