With the skyrocketing gas prices these days, the last thing you want is sticker shock at your residence parking lot. But that might be hard to avoid in Lower Manhattan. A parking space on 42 Crosby Street for an astronomical $1 million will put to shame anyone who complains about the going rate for New York City’s shoebox-sized condominiums, in which case you can either dream of owning apartment or the parking spot.
A new 10-unit luxury apartment building has 10 underground parking spots that will cost more per square foot than the apartments built above them. The 150 and 200-square-foot underground spots will cost $5,000 to $6,666 per square foot, while the nine three-bedroom units upstairs will cost between $8.70 million, or about $3,170 a square foot, and $10.45 million, around $3,140 a square foot.
The generous sized parking lot also features enough storage space and charging station for the homeowners at Atlas Capital Group’s 42 Crosby St.
