It doesn’t take time to get used to living in the lap of luxury. Private, Exclusive, and Personal are words that one gets accustomed to. A little-known island called Nurai located northeast of Abu Dhabi city is where all the rich and famous will be heading to; for the 130,000-square-meter island is being morphed into an enchanting and lavish resort along with an exclusive private residential estate. The property will consist of one boutique luxury hotel resort with 60 suites, 31 beachfront estates, and 36 water villas. At the helm of the residential project is New York-based Dror, led by Dror Benshetrit and the Paris-based firm AW2 has designed the hotel. The two agencies are collaborating on the project.
The multi-story water villas alone will span 515 square meters each, and comprise three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a private rooftop garden with spa pool, private infinity pool, multiple decks, outdoor barbeque area, gourmet kitchen and concealed service quarters. The private Seaside residences will feature five-bedroom and six-bathroom estates spanning between 3,000 and 6,050 square meters. These will include a private beach and garden, rooftop garden with spa pool, infinity swimming pool, indoor reflecting pools, concealed service quarters, entertainment patios, outdoor dining areas, chef and show kitchens, and outdoor showers. Those with at least €20 million in their pockets can opt for the residences, the others can wait till 2010 for the resort to open doors.
