2009 Jaguar XF all set to walk the ramp


The same cat eyes are waiting to see you again. It’s the 2009 Jaguar XF I’m talking of! If you are keen on watching this cat-car then wait till next month at Jaguar is scheduled to unveil this new XF at the Frankfurt auto show in Germany the coming month. The XF is a four-door Jaguar that fuses the style and performance of a sports car with the refinement, space, and sophistication of a luxury saloon. It will be presented with 300 horsepower and also 420 horsepower; the former from a 4.2 liter V8 and the latter from a supercharged version of the same. It is believed that an XF-R with 500 horsepower will be arriving a year later.

The exterior styling of the XF is the first expression of Jaguar’s new design language in a saloon car. With complementing interior design as well, in terms of crafted execution and visual excitement, the XF offers a truly contemporary, luxury environment. The new XF has a wide portfolio of driver assistance features including a Blind Spot Monitor, Front and Rear Parking Aids, Rear Camera Parking Aid, Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Speed Limiter and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System. Bluetooth® compatibility, iPod®/MP3 player interfaces, JaguarVoiceTM, Digital radio and a single or six-disc CD player ensure owners can listen and talk as they choose. As for the pricing in U.K., the most basic diesel and gas models, 2.7 and 3.0 liters, will cost £33,900 each. The premium version of either car will cost £37,500. But for our side of the earth, this cat will be a little more expensive, with the 300 hp V8 selling for £45,500 and the supercharged edition costing £54,900. Furthermore the 420 hp XF will be around 20 percent more expensive at roughly $67,200.
