2013 Neiman Marcus McLaren 12C Spider sold out within two hours

Neiman Marcus put up 12 limited edition McLaren MP4-12C Spiders on sale under its 2012 Christmas book for $354,000. And all 12 were lapped up as hot property within 2 hours of opening shop, despite the $85,000 bump in price. Apart from the car, owners can stake claim to a trip to McLaren’s UK Technology Center as you dine with chairman, Ron Dennis. Flying first-class, the trip will also give buyers a two nights stay at a five-star hotel and spa. Sporting a Volcano Red paintjob, the car boasts of “lightweight diamond-cut wheels with gloss black highlights”, and a retractable roof that comes in place in just 17 seconds.

The interiors feature a glossy black leather trim, with contrasting red stitching and a custom luggage set. The car is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V-8 engine that can hit 0-60 in just 3.1 seconds with top speeds of 204 mph (196 mph with the top down).
However this sale has not set any records for the retailer this year, as earlier we have seen 2012 Ferrari FF sell in 50 mins, 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible in flat 3 mins and 2007 BMW M6 in merely 92 seconds on Neiman Marcus.
