Aston Martin woos collectors by selling two iconic race cars

Aston Martin’s 2013 centenary celebrations are still at its peak. Commemorating the occasion, the official motorsport arm for the brand, Aston Martin Racing (AMR), has conjured up the most ambitious campaign in its history. Through this campaign AMR offers two golden opportunities to its fans and sports car enthusiasts. The super car manufacturer, has offered up for sale two of its iconic racing cars – the V8 Vantage GTE and the DBR 1-2 for £250,000 ($380,500) each. Unfortunately, these would be sold only as show cars, wherein they would be designed solely for display purposes. This means, their engine and gear box would be removed to make transportation easy.

However, making up for the loss, AMR would brand the cars at an upcoming WEC race and as an added bonus would allow the buyer to invite ten of his guests to the race for a VIP reception. AMR drivers would also be available to the owners for a launch event or celebration.
