The BMW M family has just welcomed home a new member, the small but definitely loud 2016 M2 Coupe. While the car is smaller than its older brother, the 3 Series M, the M2 still manages to pack a punch in a petite package. The car comes with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder powerhouse beneath its well-chiseled hood, which produces 365 horsepower and 343 pound-feet of torque. To keep the tree-huggers happy, BMW has added an auto stop-start function to conserve fuel. However, the car hasn’t been rated by EPA yet, so we don’t know how significant an environment threat it is, yet.
Speaking of threats, the M2 does look just as intimidating as the rest of its family. The car comes complete with sculpted fender flairs, a subtle lip spoiler and four chrome-tipped exhaust pipes that mean business. The 19-inch forged aluminum wheels on the car’s four corners make sure the M2 looks fast when it’s standing still too. The BMW is capable of touching the 60 mph in 4.4 seconds when the six-speed manual transmission comes into play, and 4.2 seconds with the optional seven-speed M dual-clutch transmission. Available in Long Beach Blue metallic, Alpine White, Black Sapphire metallic and Mineral Gray metallic, the car comes with an interior clad in black Dakota leather with blue stitching. This baby M is surely the quickest way to go fast!
