After teaming up with Audi and Aston Martin , high-end electronics manufacturer, Bang & Olufsen has now collaborated with BMW. The renowned electronics manufacturer will be equipping BMW’s Concept 6 Series Coupé with its High-End Surround Sound System. The partnership evolved on the grounds that the two brands have the same type of customer i.e. clients who are interested in high quality performance without compromising on luxury and design. This folks who will go in for BMW’s Concept 6 Series Coupé will now get to relax and enjoy the new car while listening to tunes churned out by B&O’s sound system.
The sound system integrates the clean Danish design of Bang & Olufsen with BMW’s dynamic three-dimensional style and complements the BMW 6 Series Concept car’s interior beautifully. The B&O High-End Surround Sound System fitted in the BMW coupé comprises 16 loudspeakers. The tweeter and mid-range drivers sit at the dashboard center, while four pairs of tweeter and mid-range drivers are located by each seat. There are two additional pairs behind the rear seats. The two subwoofers under the front seats help to produce an even base performance throughout the whole cabin.
The design of this high-tech sound system is as awesome as its features. Among the many design elements that stand apart in this sound system is the hand-crafted Acoustic Lens in the instrument panel’s center. On activation opens up to reveal the lens inside.
The B&O Acoustic Lens Technology (ALT) is responsible for maximizing the sound stage in front of the unit. The 16 loudspeakers are covered with solid aluminum grilles that beautifully complement the lush interiors of this car. The grilles are finished in anodized ‘Perl Glanz’ color, sport a laser-engraved Bang & Olufsen logo, and appear to float above the interior surface.
To conclude, I’d like to state that the B&O High-End Surround Sound System increases the beauty and appeal of this already appealing luxurious car.
