Luxury is timeless, right? Well, for two fortunate customers who took delivery of their $4 million Bugatti Bolide track-only hypercars from the same Connecticut dealership, it seems that luxury is recession-proof as well. Considering just 40 units of the Bolide are being produced, it’s quite something that a single dealership is delivering two of them at the same time. Both cars are in quite special spec too, though they aren’t to be confused with millionaire Manny Khosbin’s Bolide that he’s been lucky enough to get behind the wheel of one already.
The luckiest Bolide owner so far? It would have to be the American owner who had his 1,600 horsepower track toy delivered straight to the Circuit of The Americas for a private trackday. Considering the Bolide chews through $8,000 tires in around 36 miles, that sure is some expensive trackday.
In case that doesn’t seem that bad, that’s $8,000 a set of Michelin slick tires, designed specifically for the Bolide. A lap of COTA is 3.41 miles long, so you’re looking at less than 10 hot laps before the tires are past their prime.
Coming back to the two Bolides delivered by Miller Motorcars and Bugatti of Greenwich, one finished in black and gold, the other in black and blue.
The identity of the owners isn’t known yet, but Miller Motorcars stated in their social media post congratulating the owners that they hope to see the hypercars out on track soon. As far as track toys go, there probably isn’t another track car out there more special than the Bugatti Bolide. At least none this side of a full-blown Formula racecar.
