Car Couture! The new special Rolls-Royce Dawn is inspired by fashion

Rolls Royce is ready to take over the runway! The luxury auto house’s new Dawn model takes inspiration from the world of haute couture. Just consider it, the brand’s Spring/Summer 2017 Couture collection! Crisp spring and summer whites are given a dose of high voltage color as the new Dawn is Inspired by Fashion. Design Director Giles Taylor hand-picked designers from the arenas of fashion, fine textiles, and luxury accessories including textile specialist Cherica Haye from the Royal College of Art and leather technologist Michelle Lusby who previously worked at Mulberry.

These designers chose the white backdrop to function as a canvas that shows off the vividness of the three colors that set the tone for 2017’s Spring/Summer collection; Mugello Red, Cobalto Blue or Mandarin.

Accents of these colors define the cars, most noticeable the roofs of the cars are painted in the vibrant hues for maximum impact.

The stunning cars feature interior color schemes of Arctic White and Black that are uplifted with splashes of the accent colors.

Look out for white leather seats with brightly colored stitching and piping and a “seamless stitching” technique on the steering wheel that ensures the perfect line joins the two colors of leather around the rim.

More beautiful interior details include the car’s front and rear door pockets which feature fine silks printed with an abstract representation of the Spirit of Ecstasy with each emblem set precisely at 55 degrees to complement the lines of the door.

The exquisite dashboard created in Piano White with aluminum particles gives a silk-like appearance and a bespoke clock integrated into the dashboard resembles a piece of jewelry that enhances the appeal of the interior.

Truly inspired by fashion and fuelled by style, the Rolls Royce Dawn captures the elegance of Spring/summer couture and makes us want to rush right into next season!
