China’s new bullet train prototype is the fastest at 300mph

Do you need speed? Then China’s new bullet train can give you just the right thrill as the new prototype train can hit speeds as high as 500km/h. Reports from China Daily suggest that CSR Corp unveiled the train in Shandong’s eastern province. Crafted using “plastic reinforced with carbon fiber and magnesium alloy,” the six-car train is light that gives it high speeds. Although commercially available, the movie seems to strengthen the planned Beijing-Hong Kong high-speed line that will connect to Hong Kong by 2015.

However, the movie seems to a bit mistimed, considering that the collision between two high-speed trains in July that saw 40 people dead is still on. CSR also made the trains in question, but the collision is attributed to a signal error.
