After Phoenix-based Rizk Auto has done its fair share of refurbishment on the 1957 Aston Martin DBR2, it is Florida based Elite Auto, which is taking a pitch at the Aston Martin LMV/R. Elite produces 30 versions of their Le Mans Vantage Racer with loads of carbon fiber throughout the body. Until now, everybody drooled over Vantage V12 which is indisputable, one of the best cars around; however, this model is based on the 2010 Aston Martin Vantage model. The body kit comprises visible carbon canards, a new front bumper, a carbon front splitter, a menacing hood, wider fenders, side skirts, rear quarter panel extensions, a carbon trunk lid with visible carbon rear wing, and a rear bumper with a carbon diffuser.
Other non-fiber upgrades are constituted by the revised exhaust, big brake kit, lowering springs, terrific 20-inch matte black wheels, and the commonplace Alcantara interior. But with a cost of $173,000 over the vantage price, I don’t know where it’s heading.
