Faraday Future’s FFZERO1 concept electric car churns out 1000hp

Electric cars are supposed to be mild-mannered machines that get you around town in a tree-hugger sort of way. Sometimes though, an electric car starts producing mind-numbing power numbers with looks straight out of a sci-fi movie. Faraday Future’s FFZERO1 is one such car that makes us look forward to the future of automotive technology. Capable of producing 1000 hp, the car is said to touch the 60 mph mark in less than 3 seconds, making it a breakneck vehicle with a green soul. Of course, these numbers are just theoretical, since the car is still in its concept stage.

Sporting a glass roof that we aren’t really sure is very practical; the FFZERO1 sports a white carbon fiber interior with an extremely cool smartphone mount on its steering wheel. Given the fact that the car is capable of travelling at speeds of up to 200 mph, this one comes with a Halo Safety System that supports the driver’s head and neck as well as a helmet that feeds the driver water and oxygen. Speaking to TheVerge.com, Faraday spokesperson Stacy Morris said “It’s going to have four motors. It’s a one-seater hypercar.” The FFZERO1 probably will never hit production lines but that doesn’t stop it from being the poster-boy of 2016!
