Koenigsegg Agera RS to commence production in US

Swedish supercar manufacturer Koenigsegg have steadily impressed the world with the land-speed record-breaking machines. While it may have not seen a US presence as much as we would have wished for, the Agera RS has been declared street legal and is all set to roll in our alleyways. In a blog post, the company declared that the car will begin production for the US market. There will be just 25 units made, 10 of which have already been booked by eager fans of the brand. Four units of the brand are already completed and ready to hit the streets.

The Agera S is a mix between the Agera R and S models and the Koenigsegg One: 1. It measures 4,293 mm in length and shows off a wheelbase of 2,662 mm. The car is lighter in weight than the models it has been inspired from and has a body made of carbon-fiber/Kevlar. Even the wheels are made of carbon-fiber and measure 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the back. The cars run on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2/ Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The car is designed for an aerodynamic performance.

On the inside as well, the power and performance is incredible. It packs a twin-turbo 5-liter pertrol V8 engine from the Agera S that gives it 1,160 hp at 7,800 rpm and a torque of 1,280 Nm. It offers a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters.

It is truly a modern marvel of engineering and design, straight from a Swedish womb of automobile engineering that has given some big names in the industry a run for their money.
