Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 the limited edition track only hypercar that packs the most powerful naturally aspirated V12 engine made by Lambo

Lamborghini has revealed its maddest track-only creation to date. Meet the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 – a spiritual successor to the Diablo GTR and the Miura Jota. The limited-run racing car is fitted with the most powerful, naturally aspirated V12 Lamborghini has ever made and it churns out more than 830 horsepower (the specific number wasn’t revealed by Lamborghini). “Essenza SCV12 represents the purest track driving experience that our brand can offer, an engineering feat that highlights the inextricable link between our cars and the asphalt of the track,” said Lamborghini CEO Stefano Domenicali. “Lamborghini is a brand constantly looking to the future and searching for new challenges, but we never forget our roots and who we are: Essenza SCV12 is the perfect combination of our unconventional spirit as a super sports car manufacturer and our true passion for motorsport.”

Built by Lamborghini’s motorsports division Squadra Corse, the Essenza SCV12 has been exclusively created to attack lap times across race tracks. The highlight of the hypercar is its “new generation” carbon fiber monocoque chassis, thanks to which It doesn’t need internal roll cage and still passes FIA’s regulations for track cars. The engine is coupled with a six-speed sequential gearbox sending the power to the rear wheels and the push-rod rear suspension is bolted directly onto it. There are only three elements to the bodywork to make it simple to quickly repair the damage in the pit garage in the event of an accident. The track car also has a massive wing at the rear which according to Lamborghini creates a downforce of 1,200kg at 155mph. The Essenza SCV12 has a typical race car cockpit with no frills and amenities. It has an F1-inspired steering wheel and a carbon-shelled FIA-spec racing seat, along with toggle buttons for dials for various settings. Only 40 examples of the track-only hypercar will be made and the lucky customers will get training directly from Emanuele Pirro and Marco Mapelli.
