Lamborghini to launch the new Gallardo Bicolore special edition

The thing about fast cars is that they change faster than your granny’s routine. Sometimes it’s damn too tough to keep a track of any. Perhaps that’s the reason why so many are in love with fast cars, of course there’s the tech, the speed, the luscious design, the drool-worthy stance… But none get that affect revved to the max every time they move, drive or even launch a special edition like Lamborghini. Lamborghini is coming out with the LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni Gallardo. Limited to a production run of 250 units, this supercar will put out 10bhp less from the V10 engine than the LP 560-4 and only has rear-wheel drive. But this also means that the weight of the supercar is reduced by almost 200kgs. The most noticeable characteristic of the rear-wheel drive Lamborghini is a white stripe running over the centre of the bonnet to the rear and along the seats inside.

Like with all its SE version, the Bicolore edition will be offered with a duotone color scheme, a more sportier interior and some power increase. The colour options include gray, white, yellow, orange and green, all combined with a black roof. The difference is that this special edition will be based on the Gallardo LP560-4 edition. The Bicolore special edition is set to launch in early 2011, most likely at the Detroit Auto Show. Deliveries will begin in February 2011.
Who knows, if rumours are true, you might just get yourself a Tricolore edition!
